Being in person, in a relaxing environment, getting to know writers who listened intently to everyone’s writing while giving positive feedback, I stopped my self judgment, and just let myself share. All this, and incredible food handmade by an in house chef, a refreshing pool and grounds instantly relaxed me. Going on neighborhood walks and jumping in the ocean bay’s water, topped off an extraordinary weekend worth every cent spent. This environment also allowed each of us to connect with each other, one on one, with openness and humor.
— Happy Mason, memoir writer

Whatever kind of work you create, the path to unlocking its fullest potential
always starts with an honest dig to the deepest part of you.

Explore the origins of who you are in the world,
how you came to be and see your work take flight.

We’re not alone in our experience, our understanding, our longings. There are other people who are interested in and skilled in the art of communication and who have genuine curiosity of the other. You don’t have to go into the mine alone.
— Melodie Somers, singer-songwriter

I was inspired and challenged to sharpen my listening skills as well as my trusting skills... I would recommend this experience to anyone who is serious about getting to your truth writing with depth, heart and soul.

The story deep within you has the potential to ignite
your most powerful work to date. First, you have to locate it.

And bring it to the surface.

Suze is a deeply spiritual teacher. She embraces each of your thoughts tenderly and with care, gently prodding, fully expecting you to be your most clear. She sees every thought as beautiful and worth expressing and exploring. . . Roland is bubbly and enthusiastic, a coach fully expecting you to work as deeply as you can. His faith in you spawns courage.

All Under One Roof

We'll gather on Friday evening for dinner followed by a 2-hour session to stir those memories just before bedtime.

Both Saturday and Sunday will begin with a 30-min. walk in nature before a group breakfast. Both days will begin and end with a 2-hr. group workshop on a specific topic. Lunchtime is free time for you to rest, take a walk, grab a bite or a nap or settle into some quiet writing time.

After dinner on Saturday, we'll have an opportunity to share past finished work with one another before heading off to bed. The shared accommodations are comfortable and clean and the outdoor property offers myriad tucked away corners perfect for quiet reflection and individual work.

Each day will begin with a workshop in Memoir led by Suze. The afternoon sessions will be strictly Monologue led by Roland. But both instructors will be present for all sessions and are likely to chime in from time to time.

If you've been wondering what your next project should be, this weekend could be an excellent reset, potentially giving rise to new projects you hadn't ever considered.

Both Suze Allen and Roland Tec will be available to you all weekend to consider questions of how best to approach your next new work.

I don’t think I would have ever pushed through the way that I needed to and wanted to if I hadn’t met Roland, if he hadn’t been as excited and interested in what I was doing in my work and hadn’t helped me to find that excitement again in myself. That’s what he continues to do for me and has in the years since.
— Keian McKee, playwright

Suze Allen has been instrumental in my writing career. She is a great, wise and wonderful teacher. As a dramaturge she has the capacity to lead the writer on deeper explorations of emotional truth all the while holding structure as holy. This, my friend, is a gift. I can’t say enough. I’m always grateful to have Suze walking by my side with her machete in hand when I’m deep in the wild and wonderful jungle of my creativity

Roland Tec’s online playwriting course advanced my new script, and brought me into contact with a number of great peers all across the U.S. The bi-weekly gathering sessions on Zoom were at once informative, intense, and filled with plenty of laughter.
— Candyce Rusk, playwright & book writer

Roland Tec

I had a brilliant coaching session with Suze when I was feeling burnt out. She listened to me with an open heart and creative mind. She asked crucial thought-provoking questions to gently guide me to the root of my challenges in work/ life balance. She inspired me to really follow through with the action steps we formulated. As a result, my energy and productivity increased, and I felt more at peace.
